Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Dolo ("Dolo," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Dolo mobile application and related services (the "App"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. Certain activities are designated as 18+ and require age verification before you can join them. By using the App, you represent that you meet these age requirements and that all information you provide is accurate. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. You may not impersonate others, create accounts for anyone but yourself, or share your account with others.

3. What Dolo Is

Dolo helps people discover and join ("tag along" to) real-world activities created by friends and other users, message participants, and meet in person. Dolo is a platform that connects people; we do not host, organize, supervise, or vet the activities, people, or places involved.

4. User-Generated Content

The App lets you create and share content, including activities, titles, descriptions, locations, profile details, photos, and chat messages ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute it solely to operate and improve the App.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and the consequences of sharing it. You represent that you have the rights to the content you post and that it does not violate these Terms or any law.

5. Code of Conduct & Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior on Dolo. You agree that you will not post, share, or engage in content or conduct that:

• is unlawful, harassing, threatening, abusive, hateful, defamatory, or discriminatory;
• is sexually explicit, pornographic, or harmful to minors;
• promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activity;
• is spam, fraudulent, deceptive, or a scam;
• infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
• contains another person's private information shared without consent.

We reserve the right to remove any content and to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, at our sole discretion and without notice.

6. Reporting, Blocking & Moderation

We rely on our community to help keep Dolo safe. You can report objectionable content or abusive users from within the App, and you can block any user to prevent them from contacting you or interacting with you. We review reports and aim to act on violations, including removing content and ejecting offending users, within 24 hours.

By using the App, you agree to use these reporting and blocking tools rather than engaging with content or users that violate these Terms.

7. In-Person Activities & Safety

Dolo involves meeting and interacting with other people in real life. You are solely responsible for your own safety. We do not conduct background checks on users and do not verify the identity, conduct, or intentions of any user or the safety of any activity or location.

Always use good judgment: meet in public places, tell someone where you are going, and stop any interaction that makes you uncomfortable. You participate in activities at your own risk and assume full responsibility for any resulting injury, loss, or damage.

8. Location Data

The App uses location information to show nearby activities and to display activity locations on a map. You can control location permissions through your device settings, though some features may not work without them. Your use of location data is also governed by our privacy practices.

9. Privacy

We collect and use information as needed to operate the App, including your account details, profile, activities, messages, and approximate location. We do not sell your personal information. By using the App you consent to this handling of your information. See our Privacy Policy for details.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms or to protect the App or its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any activity or user will meet your expectations.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dolo and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss or injury arising out of your use of the App or your interactions with other users, whether online or in person.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in San Diego County, California.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
